a. Financial Burden: Target new strategies to minimize the impact of debt burden with programs such as loan repayment, scholarships and other financial incentives or subsidies.
b. Equalizing Compensation: Develop strategies that result in changes in our compensation model, including greater parity with adult providers and greater parity among procedural and non-procedural pediatric subspecialists.
c. Revenue Streams: Work with payers to equalize reimbursement between adult and pediatric care providers, prioritizing equal payments between Medicare and Medicaid. In addition, develop strategies to create greater parity in reimbursement for the range of pediatric subspecialists, considering the current differential between “cognitive” subspecialties, procedural subspecialties, and intensivists.
