Pediatric Specialty Loan Repayment Program (PSLRP)
Strengthen and expand PSLRP to support recruitment and retention of pediatric subspecialists. In the near term, PWI aims to increase the number of MD and DO applicants to PSLRP to boost overall participation and award outcomes.
Key components include:
- Collaborating with HRSA to streamline the process for eligible pediatric departments to activate their sites
- Advocating for updated program definitions of clinical service hours to better reflect pediatric subspecialty training and practice
- Partnering with pediatric organizations on federal advocacy for increased funding and reauthorization
