Assessing and Spreading Novel Models of Care
Identify and elevate innovative models that strengthen the primary–specialty interface and improve timely access to care.
Key components include:
- Cataloguing models across pediatric departments
- Organizing innovations around common workforce and access challenges
- Producing video summaries and case examples to raise awareness and support replication
The workgroup is curating a growing collection of brief, abstract-style videos that showcase novel models of care at the interface of primary and specialty pediatrics. These concise (<5 minute) videos are designed to spark ideas and elevate innovation across other institutions – not as “how-to” guides, but as snapshots of creative approaches addressing shared challenges in access, workforce capacity, and care delivery across diverse settings.
Together, these videos aim to build a national library of innovation – highlighting how departments are rethinking traditional boundaries, strengthening collaboration, and advancing care for children and families. Each video includes a short overview of the model, the problem it seeks to address, and – where available – additional resources and a point of contact to facilitate connection and shared learning.
